The Rivalry Game and Basketball season

The Saturday after Thanksgiving was the big U of U vs. BYU football game.  Liam and Lance went to the game with Rob, their uncle Rick and Grandpa and Grandma Henriksen.  They were pretty excited to go, even knowing they would have to sit in 30 degree weather for over 3 hours.  It was a rough game, but thank goodness Utah pulled it off in the end!  Rob was quite proud to wear his Utah tie to church the next day.  There is not a Sunday that goes by that Rob can refrain from telling a BYU joke in Elder’s Quorum so he is a lucky man that they won or he would have been in for it that day.  After the game many of the fans ran on the field to celebrate and Rick took Liam down on the field with him.  Liam was able to meet one of the players and get a picture with Swoop, he was thrilled.  I am so glad Rick took some pictures for me.

And now we are on to Basketball season.  This Tuesday we ate dinner downtown and headed up to the game.  It is nice being indoors for sporting events if you ask me.  Lincoln was pretty fascinated by all the noise and the big screen that he kept pointing to.

He pretty much spent the whole game cruising around the empty seats behind us and dancing to the band music and being entertained by his grandpa.

Liam got to see Swoop twice in one week!  He asked Swoop to sign his ticket (and Lance's ticket since Lance was too shy to ask him.)

Go Utes!

There is way too much red in this post, it is kind of making me sick jk :). I am glad the boys are having fun going to the games with Rob, I bet he loves it.
