On December 1st Lance celebrated his half birthday and he is already 3 and a half - where has the last 6 months gone? This is the first year that we have celebrated half birthdays but we have been missing out because they are so fun for the kids. When Liam started Kindergarten he realized that it is a big milestone to be 5 and a half. Apparently all the kids talk about it. So he was counting down the days until his half Birthday. Well it turns out that we were in New Orleans on his half birthday a few weeks ago and we were not even thinking about what day it was. But my sweet mother-in-law, being the awesome grandma that she is, realized it was his half birthday so she took him to Target and told him he could pick out a toy (he chose a t-shirt instead - funny boy.) After that Lance asked when his half birthday was and lucky for him it was only 11 days after Liam's! So Wednesday was Lance's half birthday. He thought he was the most important person in the world that day. He insisted on having a birthday cake. He also insisted on chocolate milk for his nap - yes he still takes a nap everyday - lucky me. Oh yeah I did have to give him a haircut that morning and he was pretty mad that I was doing that to him on his half birthday. After he got over that we had a fun day playing games and reading books. We sang "Happy half Birthday to you..." and ate cake with Daddy when he got home from work. It was a fun day.
Making Lance's cake
Rob put three and a half candles on his cupcake.
There is nothing better that scraping the cake batter out of the bowl. However sharing the cake batter with three boys is not so appetizing.
